What is the procedure to reactivate my account?
  • To reactivate your trading & demat account, write a letter requesting reactivation and send it to our Office along with a copy of your self attested PAN card & address proof.

  • Alternatively, you can e-sign the reactivation letter and submit it by raising a ticket below. click here for a walkthrough of the process to e-sign documents.

  • Your account will be reactivated in a day. The Trading code will remain the same as before the updated details will be sent to your registered email address.

  • If you had closed your DEMAT account and want to reactivate your trading account, you have to fill & submit the demat application form physically.

Note: If you had closed your trading account instead of reactivation, you have to initiate a new trading account here

How do you change the registered address on your account online?
  • To update your current address as per Aadhaar, you have to follow the Re-KYC procedure. The only change you have to make is to select the 'Update details as per Aadhaar' link on the first page before proceeding with the form, as illustrated below.

  • You will be able to complete the change of address online only if your Aadhaar is linked with a mobile number. If your Aadhaar is not linked with a mobile number or you want to link a different proof other than Aadhaar, you need to follow the offline steps mentioned Docs or PDF.

  • The accepted address proofs are self-attested copies of:
    1. Driving License
    2. Voter ID
    3. Passport
    4. Aadhaar Card
    5. Bank statement
How do you update your financial proofs
  • To update your financial proof please click here and follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Select the income range > 2. Upload the income proof > 3. Enter the password if the file is password protected.

How do you activate F&O?
  • You can enable F&O in your account by placing a request here . Equity and currency derivatives can be enabled by uploading your Income proof.

  • Anyone of the below documents will suffice as income proof:

    1. Bank statement for the last 6 months with an average balance of more than ₹ 10,000.
    2. The latest salary slip with gross monthly income exceeding ₹ 15,000.
    3. ITR acknowledgement with gross annual income exceeding ₹ 2,50,000.
    4. Form 16 with gross annual income exceeding ₹ 2,50,000.
    5. Statement of Demat holdings with holdings value exceeding ₹ 50,000.
How do you update your email & mobile
  • To update your email & mobile login to Re-KYC procedure with your trading code and follow the steps.

  • After submitting the application you will receive a mail to complete your esigning process.

  • Click on the link & verify OTP with the mobile no linked with aadhar

  • No need to upload any documents.
How do I update or modify nominee details in my account?
  • To update or modify the nominee(s) details in your account, fill up the nomination form and the account modification form, sign it, and courier it to our Office.

  • You need to send an ID proof of the new nominee(s) along with the nomination and account modification form. Any ID proof such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, etc., will suffice.

Note:

  • If there is an existing nominee in the account and you wish to add additional nominees, please ensure to mention the name of all the nominees in both the nomination form and account modification form. For example, if Nominee X is there in your account and you wish to add Nominee Y & Z as additional nominees. While filling up the forms, mention X, Y & Z nominee details.

  • If the nominee(s) is/are minor(s) the guardian(s) details has to be provided along with the identity proofs of the guardian(s).

  • After receiving the nomination form, we will process it within 24 working hours.

  • The nomination will be applicable to your trading and Demat account. Since the nominee(s) will be added to your Demat account, the same nomination will be applicable for your Coin (mutual funds) holdings as well.
How do I close my TRADING & DEMAT account?
  • You can close your EASTERN account in two ways:

    1. Online mode - CLICK THE account closure , UPLOAD SIGNATURE, e-sign the filled account closure form and submit it.
    2. Offline mode - Take a print f the Account Closure Form and DP Closer Form, fill up completely, and send the filled account closure form to our Office.

  • The account closure form will be processed within a day.

  • Your account can only be closed if you don't have a negative account balance. Please submit your account closure form after clearing the dues.

  • You need to ensure there are no securities in your Demat account. You can either sell your holdings and withdraw your funds or transfer your shares to another Demat account.
